Locker Talk - Math Card Birthday

OK! This one is very interesting.  My daughter has to do a project of 3 mathematics, and one of them has to share her birthday.  Then the second part is do a birthday card for the one that share the birthday.  Well, very interesting!!! We found that on Oct 22, Rolf Herman Nevanlinna.  Know the fun part, create a birthday card to him when he will be 177 years old.

Math + Card + birthday = 177 years

Ok, I started looking for cards and I found in Locker Talk one with a different shape, cut 5 x 10.
Then this cute birthday cat is from Birthday Bash and fun colors to highlight.  The different numbers and math signs are from Birthday Bash.  I cut two sets in different colors to coordinate.

The Happy Birthday sign is also from Birthday Bash, cut 4.89 x 2.19, in blue and purple.  I used the foam squares to big dimension.  For the banner is used the Birthday Bash that has a bird on top but I cut it.  The inside of the banner is in gin gang blue and yellow to have more color, and the year of course, 117!

Then Mr. Rofl Herman Nevanlinna needs and envelope.  Wild

Final product, I hope Mom had an A+.

Country Life - Piggy Card

Having the end of the school year almost over, its time to say Good Bye to some beautiful people that bring in our path.  One special friend is Ms.  Rivero, my daughter Kindergarten teacher.  Since this year will be my son last year, and she will not be in daily contact with them, I did this card to her in behave of my son.  Its going to be hard to said good bye to so many people and she is one that became a special talented friend.  Thanks God for giving the opportunity to have her as a teacher and now as a very special friend.

I used the cricut craft room to cut this card. Card 5 x 10 from Cricut Basics.  The pigs and the letters are from Country Living.  The gigan combination paper from Recollections card boards.

She is a pig lover, and I know that she is going to love it.

Bravo! You did it!

To my son on his first music concert.  I am very proud of you and all the accomplishment you had reach during this year.  I love you!

Paper Doll Everyday - Bakery Challenge

Hello, today I saw in Bitten by the Bug 2 a Bakery Challenge.  I was thinking the whole day to come to my house and play with my cartridges to send my card.  Since I don't have a lot of cartridges kitchen related, I used my favorite Everyday Paper Dolls.  Also for the first time I designed in the Cricut Craft Room and I really like it.

First the card was cut 5 x 10, folded in half.  Then the doll size was 4" tall.  The blouse was cut in pink and the pants cut in jeans.  The apron and the chef hat were cut from Paper Doll Everyday and the cake.

To gift a special touch, I used acrylic white paint to do the flour touch everywhere.

I had lots of fun just thinking and imagine what to do for this challenge.
Thanks for visiting!

Twinkle Toes-Dance card

OK, last saturday we had my dauthers Dance Recital at school.  This is her first year in dance and a wonderful experience for her.  Mrs. Alvarez had the best talented group of girls and all of them love her so much that you can see how they put all their effor to bring excellence to every show.  For her our gratitude in a special "Dance Card".

The card is 5" x 6" in a polka dots paper.  From Blackletter cartdrige I cut the borders in two different sizes.  From Twinkle toes cartdrige I used the ballerina shoes.  In both borders I used the foam adhesove squares for pub out the frames

On the inside the borders used are form Cricut Craft Room Basics, in two different colors and sizes.  The Dance letters are from Twinkle Toes Cartdrige.  For the letters I used glitter to highlight the pattern.

The envelope was decorated with Mrs. Alvarez letters in a pink glitter paper and the envelope was cut using Just Because Cards.

I hope you enjoyed it!

Twinkle Toes - music card

Time for Music Spring Concert and to said thank you for our special teacher Mrs. Vega.
First I cut a 5 x 10 card stock pager.  Then I designed from Twinkle Toes the music pentagram and some notes.  The "thank you" heading for the inside is from Sentimental.  A great tip is to cut this kind of letters two times to get easy to separate.

The background of the card is the notes from the concert that my son is going to play.  The pentagram is cut in black and the notes in red with some glitter on.

The inside of the card is another part of the music to be played.  The background of the letters was cut red and the highlighted was used on red letters.

To match the card, the envelope was red with her name cut in black with some notes to decorated the outside.

I hope you like it.

Tonight was my son concert and I feel very proud of him that I need to share some pictures.  It was a great concert and Thank You Mrs. Vega their is no words to express our appreciation for your time to make this concert possible.

Celebrate with Flourish

Happy Mothers Day!
Having a wonderful mom that loves her grandchildren, is the inspiration to bring great memories to this special day.  For the card I used 3 panels 5" x 10" panes, to form an accordion.

For the Mothers Day heading, I used Celebrate with Flourish cartridge.

The message is very special, and express what is a great mother.

On the first inside accordion, I decorated with a border with big bright circles and cut the border for the pictures in a contrast color.  The picture that I used is at least 6 years old.
On the center, since we talk also Spanish, I wrote "Cada año se pone..." that means Every year gets...

For the last accordion, I used on of the most recent pictures with mom and all the grandchildren.  The heading said "mejor"  - "better.

This is the look for the card to be displayed.

Happy Mothers Day!

Animal Kingdom - bookmarks

Last March, my daughter had a Western Theme camping at Girl Scout.  The challenge was to create a swap "something" to exchange with all the girls between ages 5-17.  Since I had Animal Kingdom cartridge we decided to do bookmarks.
We did three versions, the pig, the ruster and the horse.

Each animal was highlighted with chalks.

On the back she identify with a little sticker her name and troop number.
This was a cheap and cool idea since we had to do 75!

Wild Card - Teacher Thanks

Since my son is in Kindergarten, his teacher was in love with him.  Until today that he is in 5th grade they still having a special bond and connection.  This past bring your child to work, he decided to be helping her in her classroom.  Their is no way to thank that love, but only showing the appreciation for so many years.  With all our love, to Mrs. Pardo, saying thank you!
The accordion mini book has all pages cut 5 x 5, in two sections of 5 x 10 to be fold in half.  The #1 Teacher was cut with cricut Wild Card Cartdrige.  Each page have a color border (red or salmon) cut 4.75 x 4.75 inches.  The borders at the bottom of each page are being used to bring some color to the page.

Every page will show the changes in Carlos thought the years, starting in Kindergarten (2006).

To display the last two years, I did a Mini Album inside the accordion to show 4th and 5th grade.

The last page is the last picture that we took on Bring your child to work that I know for her is going to be very special.  Each page is identify by the grade using some banner style form handwritten by my friend Carmen.

Some flowers details are from America Girls flowers pre cut pack.

I hope you enjoyed it!
