Halloween Card -2

I forgot the card that I made for one friend using Cricut Lite Celebrate with Flourish.  And the part that I love the most is:  "if you can fly it, used it".....

Have a Happy Halloween to all my friends!!

The Pinguin Fest

My friend Maria is very creative, but we have a deal, she bakes... I cricut....  So, she needs a penguin for her pumpkin at school.  And since I had Animal Kingdom, the penguin was a very easy task.

Great exchange... she creates my daughter birthday cake with her cricut cake machine.  thanks Maria for your talent....and by the way, the cake was delicious.

Einstein - the scientist

For another class my son has to represent a scientist, Mr. Einstein!! Not think too much, Paper Doll gave me the answer:

Happy Halloween Mr. Einstein!!

Halloween Wimpy Kid - Treak or Read

Ok! another school project, know the challenge is to represent in a pumpkin my son favorites book.  The selection was easy, Diary of the Wimpy Kid, but the pumpkin design was a little bit scary.  Well, first painting the pumpkin white, then figuring out the nose and finally the hear was a very creative task.  Then my cricut have to be part of the event, the tittle and cover design.
For the cover display I used Paper Dolls, and I found the perfect combination of t-shirt, pants and the backpack is from Locker Talk.  The font was Disney-Mickey Font.

I think this was a great idea in my son school to represent a character in a pumpkin, at least we are doing something more that trick or treat, just "Trick or Read".

Love you Carlos,

Hispanic Heritage Project - Puerto Rico

Celebrating the Hispanic Heritage in our community is a big event.  All the teachers get excited and send projects about our countries of origin.  Our is Puerto Rico, and creating a puertorrican doll was not an easy task.  But, using Paper Dolls we create a fantastic replica of the typical puertorrican dress.
Using my cutterbug helps in the design of the white dress, and adding some lace make the dress more real.

The flower on the head is a most, should be an amapola, but I used ready cut flowers.

The ribbon in the waist give s detail for the dimension of the dress.

And the high hills from Forever Young are the boom! for the final touch.

I hope everybody likes my little puertorrican doll, I know will be a success in Patty's school.

Book Report - New Cover

Hello, another book report homework from my daughter.  In this want she ("me") needs to create a new cover for Matilda, the book by Roald Dahl.  Mommy was put again to the challenge and I decided to used my favorite cartridge, Paper Dolls Up and Everyday Paper Dolls.  And this is the result.

Illustrated by Patricia Alfonso, was the highlight at the bottom.

Another fun project for my Patty.

Ice Cream Card

OMG, my son is 10 years old!!! We wants a birthday party with all his family and cousins, but he had a lot of very special friends, that make you celebrate.  This year we decided to do something different, pizza, ice cream and cupcakes.  But my two creative friends Maria and Silvia, start bombarding me with so much cool ideas that we can not ignored.
Cupcakes:
Their is no more beautiful cupcakes than real ice cream cupcakes.    Spectacular display!!!
As soon as we served the Ice Cream Bar and all the kids get full of sugar that was the time for cupcakes with loots of sprinklers and frosting.  Believe me, all the parents still loving me!

With this special detail in the cupcakes decoration it was very hard to do a thank you card with the ice cream time.  I did something little, but big in my heart.

Materials:
  • Card size: 5.5 w x 4 h
  • Cricut - Simply Charmed
  • White card - Gypsy Wandering
  • Simply Charmed - Berry Sweet words.  The glue used to get the jelly lock, was The Rubber, Scrap Happy Sheer Glue
I hope you enjoyed.
Thanks!
.

Baptism Gifts & Remembrance

Always the Baptism of a baby bring us the opportunity to create something special.  This are some of the special gifts that I prepared for my new niece and godchild.
First, I wrote the poem, date, hour, church and the parents and godparents info.
Then I emboss the pink paper with a flower design.  Cut the ribbon and glow it to the paper.  Next, I create a bow with the medal inside.

Then decorate some boxes from the $1.00 store with almonds in the inside
 and ribbons in the outside.

Who could not melt with this angel.....

God bless you my little princess!!!!
